Following are changes to the rules.

March 10, 2001

Rule # 96 To break a tie. In all events if there is a tie use the following these steps. A tie is a tie. If it is a tie for 1st place: all points and money for 1st and 2nd place will be split between the tied dogs. If it’s a tie for 2nd place: all money and points for 2nd and 3rd place will be split between tied dogs. If there is a three way or more tie for first place they all points and money will be split. Remember that the line is separate from the tree.

May 4, 2002

Change rule #16. To be eligible for points you must be a member of a club that is in good standing with WSHC at the time of the event.

To be counted as treed the dog must be aware of object in tree.

Jan. 18, 2003

Person can accept trophy, donate money (value of trophy) to the WSHC or take the money (value of trophy). This is for the year end awards only.

May 3, 2003

Reentry will be run separated from new entries.

Dogs must stay in same class for that event.

Dead heat will not be rerun.

Rule 47 Strike the 5 second rule.

Any dog that competes for a full year without any points may drop back one class. Means if your senior dog competes a full fields trial year and doesn’t get any points then you can drop him back to a junior. Same goes for juniors to green.

Any dog that follows the truck back to the tree will be DQ. If they follow it within 150 feet of the tree.

All reentry money goes to the club and not counted in the owner’s money payoff.
